BOCA RATON, Fla. – (November 9, 2023)

TriVent Healthcare, the industry-leading provider of ventilator liberation services, is thrilled to announce that its Chief Executive Officer Sam Nimah, MBA, CPA, has been chosen as an esteemed Healthcare Innovator honoree for this year’s South Florida Business & Wealth (SFBW) Apogee Awards. This prestigious recognition celebrates Nimah’s exceptional achievements, professional involvement, contributions to the healthcare industry and the broader South Florida community.

The SFBW Apogee Awards is a distinctive program that annually honors distinguished C-Suite executives in a variety of leadership roles and sectors, representing Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties, whose dedication to their industries and communities deserves particular recognition. These leaders have made a notable impact on the South Florida business landscape, bringing innovation, excellence and dedication to their respective fields.

“I’m incredibly honored to be named among the remarkable leaders celebrated by the SFBW Apogee Awards,” said Nimah. “This recognition reflects the dedication and hard work of the entire TriVent Healthcare team, who continually strive to enhance patient care and improve lives. We look forward to continuing to bring innovation and excellence to the South Florida community and beyond.”

TriVent Healthcare is widely recognized for its pioneering work in helping hospitals liberate patients from ventilators. Through the establishment of dedicated units within acute care hospitals and the implementation of a unique staffing model, their specialized care unit is proficient at liberating patients from ventilators more rapidly and with greater success. In fact, TriVent Healthcare’s innovative approach has resulted in a liberation rate exceeding 85%, surpassing the national average by nearly 40%.

Under Nimah’s guidance, TriVent Healthcare has been led to the forefront of healthcare innovation. Thanks to their visionary leadership, the 30-day readmission rate from a TriVent Healthcare special care unit consistently remains below 6%, marking an exceptional achievement that stands 80% lower than the national average.

As a longtime advocate for revolutionizing and improving healthcare, Nimah previously served as an executive at two Fortune 100 companies before joining TriVent Healthcare, where he witnessed the positive clinical impact the company has on patients. His strong ties to both the local and healthcare communities further reinforce his commitment to advancing healthcare in a way that benefits the industry and patients. He currently serves as the elected chair of the Healthcare Business Network for the Young Presidents’ Organization and serves on the Board of Advisors for The Center for Supply Chain Management at The University of Florida. Nimah earned his Bachelor of Accounting from the University of Florida and his MBA from Florida Atlantic University.

The SFBW Apogee Awards ceremony will take place on November 16 at LoanDepot Park in Miami, where award recipients like Nimah will gather for an evening of entertainment and to be celebrated for their outstanding achievements and contributions. In addition, all honorees will be featured in SFBW magazine and online.
