Staff Spotlight: Tristan Gass
In the dynamic world of acute care, dedicated professionals play a crucial role in enhancing patient care and fostering positive outcomes. New to TriVent Healthcare, Tristan Gass has become an integral part of the team as the Lead Physical Therapist for the TriVent unit at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Hospital.
Tristan’s journey in healthcare began at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Science in 2013. She further honed her skills by achieving a Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2016. Recognizing the importance of a holistic approach to healthcare, Tristan pursued additional qualifications, obtaining a Master of Business Administration from The University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2020, followed by a Master of Healthcare Quality and Safety in 2022.
Since October 2021, Tristan has been a part-time physical therapist at TriVent, transitioning to a full-time role in April 2023. Her decision to join the TriVent team was influenced by the organization’s commitment to quality, growth, and meaningful work—values that align seamlessly with her own professional ethos. As Lead Physical Therapist, Tristan specializes in acute care with a focus on trauma and burns. Her passion for making a positive impact in people’s lives is evident, and she finds excitement in the ever-evolving healthcare landscape, driven by continuous advances in research and technology.
For Tristan, the most rewarding aspect of her job is witnessing patients achieve their goals. Although it’s challenging to pick just one success story, she emphasizes the uniqueness of each patient’s journey, expressing gratitude for being part of their recovery process.
Outside the demanding world of healthcare, Tristan enjoys reading, gardening, and traveling. These activities not only provide a balance to her intense professional life but also contribute to her overall well-being.
